TRE Dictionary

Delivery Window

A delivery window is the expected range of time or dates during which a shipment or service is scheduled to arrive at destination.

In plain English

It can refer to a time-of-day appointment range or a broader date range depending on the service model.

Why it matters

The phrase should be defined precisely because customers, carriers, buildings, and delivery teams may use it differently. For interstate moves, the agreed delivery dates or periods should be reflected consistently in the move documents.

TRE common-language definition

Delivery Window: The stated range within which delivery is expected to begin, defined by time, date, or both.

Delivery Spread · Pickup Window · Transit Time

Sources & Evidence

Operating-practice note: “Delivery window” is not used identically by every mover. TRE uses the term for the stated range in which delivery is expected to begin and distinguishes it from a multi-day delivery spread when those concepts differ.
