TRE Dictionary
Unpacking
Unpacking is the removal of goods from cartons or containers after delivery, according to the service scope purchased.
In plain English
It may mean opening cartons and placing contents on nearby surfaces, but it does not automatically mean organizing every item or restoring the home exactly as before.
Why it matters
Customer expectations can exceed the service actually included unless placement, debris removal, organization, appliance reconnection, and specialty setup are defined clearly.
TRE common-language definition
Unpacking: A destination service involving removal of goods from packing containers within the agreed service scope.

Sources & Evidence
Operating-practice note: Unpacking scope varies significantly by mover and service package. TRE uses the term for removal of contents from packing containers; setup, organization, debris removal, and specialty services should be stated separately when they are included.
