## Third-Party Service

A **third-party service** is work performed by a specialist or vendor outside the primary moving crew or carrier.

### In plain English

Examples can include appliance servicing, specialty disassembly, pool-table work, crating, rigging, electronics, or other specialized tasks.

### Why it matters

Responsibility, scheduling, pricing, authorization, and liability can become unclear when multiple companies touch the same move.
