## Full-Service Packing

**Full-service packing** generally means the moving company is responsible for packing most or all household contents included in the agreed scope.

### In plain English

The mover supplies labor and packing materials rather than the customer packing the shipment alone.

### Why it matters

The phrase can be interpreted differently. Some customers assume every drawer, closet, specialty item, and unpacking task is included. The actual scope should identify what is included, what is excluded, who provides materials, and whether crating or third-party services are separate.

### Who this affects

Customer · Estimator · Packing crew · Operations

### Where this sits in the move

Survey → Service selection → Packing → Loading

### Stakeholder perspectives

The customer may expect every packing task; packers work to an agreed list of goods, materials, and exceptions.

### Responsibility and handoff

Specify customer-packed goods, specialty items, materials, preparation, unpacking, and debris-removal responsibilities.

### Common misunderstanding

Full-service packing is not every service in a full move. Crating, appliance work, and unpacking may be separate.

### TRE common-language definition

> **Full-Service Packing:** A packing service in which the mover assumes responsibility for preparing the agreed household contents for transportation.

**Operating-practice note:** “Full-service packing” is not one universal scope. TRE uses the term for mover-performed packing of the agreed contents, while the estimate and service agreement control the actual inclusions and exclusions.
